Projects

The major projects of Metsähallitus include planning of management of wide areas and developing nature conservation and nature tourism. The management plans are regularly updated together with the public and stakeholders. Parks & Wildlife Finland is a unit of Metsähallitus, acting yearly in about hundred projects ranging from international co-operation to maintaining valuable old buildings. We benefit from financing from the European Union i.g. in projects enhancing nature conservation and sustainable nature tourism. The largest ongoing projects led by Parks & Wildlife Finland are financied from the EU LIFE fund. There is information about the windpower projects on the page Responsible business > Climate solutions and well-being through wind power.
