Volunteer Work

Spending time in and enjoying nature combined with communal and meaningful voluntary work is an experience that attracts increasing numbers of people. National parks and protected areas offer great possibilities for volunteering to everyone from private citizens to organisations and associations.

Typical forms of voluntary activities include working parties that manage heritage landscapes, tasks associated with observing and protecting species, restoring valuable old buildings as well as work related to game and fisheries management.

Voluntary work is highly significant for Finnish nature.
