Code of Conduct – the cornerstone of responsible management
The Code of Conduct outlines Metsähallitus’ key principles of responsible and ethical operation. We are strongly committed to these principles and comply with them in everything we do.
The Code of Conduct expresses our shared understanding of responsible and ethical practices at Metsähallitus.
The Supplier Code of Conduct secures our partners’ commitment to ethical action and ensures responsible operation across our chain of contracts.
We offer a whistleblowing channel through which reports can be submitted.
The Code of Conduct is based on our values – effectiveness, relevance and care – and it indicates how the goals specified in our strategy can be achieved ethically.

We aim for continuous improvement
The Code of Conduct is a process undergoing continuous improvement. This both requires and promotes an open and transparent organisation culture in Metsähallitus. Our discussion on ethical and responsible action is ongoing: through our internal discussion channel, each employee has the possibility of participating in defining and developing the correct practices we share.
We wish to make submitting development proposals and reporting exceptions easy.
Report suspected abuses
Anyone can report suspected misconduct related to Metsähallitus’ activities – anything that is inconsistent with the responsible and ethical principles set out in our Code of Conduct.
To ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct, we offer a whistleblowing channel through which reports can be submitted, either with the whistle-blower’s name or anonymously.
It is vital for us that we can intervene in any problems and improve our activities.
