Great potential in offshore wind power

Offshore wind power is an attractive form of renewable energy generation in Finland as well. Our western marine areas are well suited for offshore wind power due to favorable seabed geology and strong wind conditions. Globally, offshore wind power generation is expected to grow rapidly in the future. As turbine sizes increase, the electricity generation capacity of individual offshore wind turbines also grows, enabling them to produce more renewable energy.
