Biodiversity loss in Finland can be halted and turned to biodiversity richness. We have solutions, knowledge and skills, but not enough funding.
Priodiversity LIFE project mobilizes the growth of nature funding in Finland and has established special forces for this: The Biodiversity Funding Hub.

Biodiversity Funding Hub

  • searches for new public and private investors to stop biodiversity loss in Finland
  • strengthens the position of the biodiversity goals in EU funding programs
  • aims at getting private funding to join nature work
  • prepares projects supporting the Priodiversity LIFE
  • increases co-operation by organizing networking events
  • offers up-to-date information about new funding possibilities

The Complementary Funding Strategy

The Complementary Funding Strategy is the first plan in Finland to increase and enhance the use of nature funding in Finland. The strategy aims to combine public and private funding and to promote increased and more effective funding for nature projects and nature management work.

See the strategy here: The Complementary Funding Strategy, Mobilising Nature Funding (pdf 2 Mb, in Finnish with English summary).
