Wilderness Huts and Rental Cabins

Open and reservable wilderness huts

Wilderness huts provide shelter for hikers, small groups and families looking for a place to rest or spend the night. The open wilderness huts are unlocked, free-of-charge rest stops, and you can stay in them for a night or two without reserving in advance. For a fee, however, a hiker can reserve a bed for a night or two in one of the reservable wilderness huts. Day huts are wilderness huts that are intended, as the name implies, for daytime use.

Rental cabins

A rental cabin can be rented for a fee, with no restriction on the duration of stay. Rental cabins range from basic wilderness cabins to holiday cabins equipped with all the comforts, as well as lodges and Outdoor Centres. Cabins can also be rented over the web, on the Wild North website.
