Metsähallitus’ information systems are also effectively used to manage logistics. Through proper allocation and correct timing (=optimising) of timber harvesting and transportation, fuel consumption, for example, can be significantly reduced. Thanks to good logistics, we are able to improve our eco-efficiency and also achieve economic savings.
