Natural Heritage Services
The operations of the Metsähallitus Natural Heritage Services (NHS) comprise three regional units and four intersecting processes.
The processes of the Natural Heritage Services include.
- Protected Area Management Planning
- Game and Fisheries
- Nature Conservation
- Recreation
The NHS unit within Metsähallitus is headed by Director, Natural Heritage Services. His staff includes the national heads of the processes. The Regional Units are headed by a Regional Director.
The Area Managers are in charge of the regional operations of the processes. Park Superintendents head the local teams and report to the Area Managers.
